Evaluating the performance of wireless communication in smart grid networks

Abstract: The advent of Smart Grid technology has revolutionized energy management by integrating digital communication with the electrical grid. Wireless communication is essential for the efficient operation of Smart Grids, enabling real-time data exchange among various components. This review article evaluates the performance of wireless communication technologies in Smart Grid networks, drawing from recent studies to highlight their benefits, challenges, and future directions. Key performance metrics are discussed, and a comparative analysis of different wireless communication technologies is presented to assess their impact on Smart Grid efficiency and reliability.
